Obituary: Frances Elizabeth (Parrish) Hill

Frances Elizabeth (Parrish) Hill, 89, passed away April 6, 2014 in Selma.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis S. Hill; brothers, Pep and Pete Parrish and sister, Jewell (Parrish) Johnston.

She is survived by her children, Linda Huffman, David M. Hill and Becky Kraby; sisters, Lee King, Pat King and Nancy Troha; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., April 10 at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sammie Reed officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1 p.m.

In her early years Frances worked for the Civil Aeronautics Department at several locations in the South. She enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, sewing, reading, canning and cooking. Frances was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Corner, since 1975.
