Dana Roger Day, age 59, of Kimberly, born on Dec. 14, 1952 in Birmingham, died Dec. 15, 2011 in Vestavia Hills at about 6:10 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hoyce Day; son, David Lee Day; two granddaughters, Lori Ann and Dallas; step-son, Raymond Tyler (Terri); three step-granddaughters, Stephanie, Brandy and Mikayla; parents, James Rogers Day and Mildred L. Day; three sisters, June Mosley (Don), Linda Whitworth, and Jolene Tavel (Donnie); several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Sam Thompson Masonic Lodge in Morris.

He was a good son, brother, husband and father. He was loved.

The funeral will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home in Warrior on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Morris Cemetery.
