Ice Cream Social and Singing

Senior Day

July 10 North Gardendale Baptist Church will have senior day on July 10 at 11 a.m. Special guest will be Rufus Rareback. For more information call 631-4592.



Summer Camp

July 16-20 Summer Day Camps will take place on July 16-20 from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. They are offered through the Gardendale Parks and Recreation Department with activities including water games, arts and crafts, playground visits, volleyball, tennis, basketball, movies, kite flying, board games and much more! Registration

July 10-13 Bragg Middle School will be having registration for the 2007-2008 school year on the following days: last name beginning with A-F will be Tuesday, July 10 from 9 a.m. – noon; G-M will be Wednesday, July 11 from 9 a.m. – noon and N-Z will be on Thursday, July 12 from 9 a.m. – noon. There will be no make up day available because of a computer conversion. The first day of school will be Thursday, August 9. This will be a full day of school.



VBS

Summer Sports Camps

July 17-19 Cheer camp will be held on July 17-19. Basketball camp will be held July 24-26. Both camps cost $20 per person and run from 8:30 a.m. – noon each day. Camps are for children who will be in the 1st grade through 6th grade in the fall.-Camps are being hosted at Gardendale-Mt. A group of Take Off Pounds Sensibly meets at 6 p.m. every Monday night in Gardendale. The Call

Registration

July 11 and 12 Fultondale High School registration for current students will be: July 11 seniors 8-9 a.m., juniors 9:30-10:30 a.m. and sophomores 11 a.m. – noon. Times for July 12 are freshmen 8-9 a.m., 8th grade 9:30-10:30 a.m. and 7th grade 10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Registration packets will be mailed by June 29 to current students. New student registration packets may be picked up Monday – Friday 9–11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Concert

July 4 The UAB Summer Band presents a free Fourth of July concert, featuring patriotic pops and traditional band music. All ages are welcome for a relaxing hour of free, family-friendly music topped with a finale of fireworks from atop Red Mountain. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. The UAB Summer Band also will sell chances to step in as guest conductor for the band on “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Chances are $2 each or $5 for three chances and will be available at the event.This will take place at 8 p.m. on July 4 on the lawn in front of UAB’s Bartow Arena, 617 13th St. S.
