The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the body found Thursday night in Warrior.

The deceased is John Henry Davis, 43. His body was found is woods off Trafford Road in Warrior, after a resident went to check on the source of a foul smell.

A deputy coroner said that a cause of death has not yet been determined.

A Warrior Police detective said that the body had been at the scene for at least several days when found.
