Kayla Michelle Baker and Michael Andrew Manning were united in marriage at six o’clock in the evening on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The vows were exchanged at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Welti. Reverend Ray Lathem officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Garry and Kristi Baker of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Cheryl Allen and the late Darold Allen, and Betty Baker Green and the late Ted Baker.
The groom is the son of Mike and Becky Manning of Cullman. He is the grandson of Peggy McDonald and the late Joe McDonald, and the late L.K. and Grace Manning.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an original designer gown that featured a bodice of pleated lace, an A-line tulle skirt and a natural waist line accented by a Swarovski crystal beaded belt. She also wore a semi-cathedral length veil and a Swarovski crystal beaded tiara.
Kayla carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and white hydrangeas. In the bouquet were three brooches that belonged to her great-grandmothers. The stems were wrapped in rhinestones and pinned with pearls. Also wrapped around the stems were three heart lockets with pictures of her late grandfathers and her late great-grandmother, June Byrd.
Maid of honor was Karlie Baker, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Henry, Jana Roberson and Tabitha White. Flower girl was Annalee Allen, cousin of the bride and attendants were Lillimae Allen, cousin of the bride, and Katelyn Kress, niece of the groom.
Best man was Matt Manning, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Eric Cornelius, Ryan McDonald, cousin of the groom, and Jonathan Pilgrim. Ringbearer was Michael Manning and usher was Will Kress, both nephews of the groom.
Wedding music was provided by pianist, Donna Sellers and violinist, Haley Allen. April Hays directed the wedding.
Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in the fellowship hall and the dinner and cakes were catered by Doris Patterson. Flowers were by Ava Grace Designs. Melody Martin Photography provided all wedding photos. Hogland Studio provided the wedding video.

After a honeymoon trip to Gulf Shores, AL, the couple will reside in Cullman.
