The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports a tornado on the ground near Morris, which has resulted in a new tornado warningfor north Jefferson and south Blount counties.

In addition, another tornado warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the rest of Jefferson County. This is a different warning than the one previously issued and then quickly cancelled for north Jefferson County.

This warning is in effect until 10:45 p.m., and includes Fultondale, Gardendale, Tarrant, Mt.Oliv and Pinson. Morris on the the very northern edge of the polygon, Warrior and Kimberly are not included.

The second warning is for a radar-indicated tornado from a storm moving northeast out of Tuscaloosa County.
