Annie R. Dodd, 83 of Kimberly, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Cole Smith and Sarah Cole Leffell; and a brother, Edward Cole.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband of 64 years, Charleston B. Dodd; a son, Charles A. Dodd (Kathy); her daughter, Mary Catherine Dodd Green (Mike); grandchildren, Casey Dodd, Christy Dodd Mason (Brandon) and Jennifer Green; great grandchildren, Benjamin Kyle Beatty and Zoey Grace Mason.

Ruth was a wonderful Christian Lady who kept the faith until the end of her race.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5-8 p.m. with chapel funeral services on Wednesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery in Morris. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Day Star Church, 5535 Shady Grove Road, Mt. Olive, AL 35117 in Ruth’s honor.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Vitas Hospice, especially Barbara Best and Sharon Mims for their loving care the past two years.
