Baseball: Gardendale 10, Huffman 0 (6 innings)

Pitcher Adam Hulsey had one of his best games ever at the nation’s oldest professional baseball park, striking out 11 batters in five innings as Gardendale shut out Huffman 10-0 in six innings at Rickwood Field.

Hulsey allowed just two hits and three walks in his outing. Brady Sellers came in for one inning of relief work, and gave up one more hit.

Zach Cupps was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs on a single and a double. Hunter Crook was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored, and Joseph Calvert had a triple and a single in five at-bats, driving in one run and scoring two. John Michael Mathews was 2-for-3 with a double for the Rockets (12-10).
