A body that was found in Trafford earlier this week has been identified.

Natanael C. Trevino, 62, of Trafford was found deceased on Warrior-Trafford Road near Faucett Drive on Monday, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

The Warrior Police Department notified the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 8 a.m. Monday that a body had been found in a ditch.

Paramedics responded and the person was pronounced dead, according to Chief Deputy Randy Christian.

“We have ruled out him possibly being struck by a car and have ruled out any foul play pending the medical examiner’s report,” said Christian earlier this week.

A spokesman with the coroner’s office said Trevino had suffered a stroke and was paralyzed on his right side.

He said Trevino likely died of natural causes or drowning, but foul play is not suspected.

The incident is still under investigation.
