Gardendale came back to break a third-quarter tie, as they defeated Mortimer Jordan 63-60 in the final girls basketball game of the regular season for both teams.

Two Rocket players tallied double-doubles: Joy Sadler scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Mallorie Corbin had 18 points and 11 rebounds, along with six assists.

Kaylan Hines led the Blue Devils with 16 points, and Megan Snow added 15.

The game was postponed from its original date of January 16 because of winter weather.

Gardendale (12-15) goes into the Class 6A Area 12 playoffs at Huffman on Thursday; they take on Hewitt-Trussville at 7:30 p.m. Jordan (10-14) travels to Hayden and the Class 5A Area 14 tournament, where they play Walker at 6.
