Mallorie Corbin scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Gardendale to a 52-38 win over Carver in Class 6A Area 12 girls basketball play Friday.

Alexis Hatch and Joy Sadler scored 10 points each, with Sadler adding six rebounds and two blocked shots, and Hatch pulling down eight boards for the Rockets.

Paris Lee-Parker led the Rams (3-9, 1-3 area) with 12 points.

Gardendale (7-12, 2-3) travels to Huffman on Tuesday night.
