Robbers in Pinson nab drugs from pharmaceutical courier

A courier delivering pharmaceutical drugs to a Rite-Aid store in Pinson was abducted and robbed Tuesday morning.
A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said that the courier making his stop at the store on Highway 75 at about 10:30 a.m. There he was approached by four black males who forced him into his van, then drove him to a vacant house on North Road about a mile northeast of Pinson Valley High School.
The suspects bound the courier with zip ties and put a toboggan over his head, then took an undetermined amount of drugs from the van and loaded them into a red SUV. The suspects fled, and the courier was able to free himself and get help.
