Anna (Oksana) Derkach

Anna (Oksana) Derkach, 92, of Fort Wayne, entered eternal life Saturday, December 7, 2013.
Anna was born in a small Ukrainian farming village, was a refugee in Germany during WWII, and moved to Fort Wayne in 1952. She retired from Peter Eckrich and Sons, was a member of Faith Baptist Church and a former member of South Wayne Baptist Church. She was also active with the Salvation Army, the Allen County Cancer Society and took great joy from her association with the Christ Child Festival. She was also deeply grateful for the love and support of parishioners of Statewood Baptist Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.
She is survived by daughters, Nina Borton of Fort Wayne; Lynn Baldwin of Muncie; Lucy Latshaw of Fultondale; and son, Jacob Derkach of Fort wayne; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Service Service is today at noon at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W. Main Street with calling one hour prior, Rev. Peter Yaruchyk officiated.
