The problem for Pinson Valley was getting over the hill — Devin Hill, the top-scoring playmaker for John Carroll Catholic, who scored 20 points in the first half.

But once Indians coach Clint Argo made halftime adjustments, Hill was held to just seven more points and Pinson came back for a 62-59 win in Thursday night boys basketball.

Hill led all scorers with 27 points total, and Jack Meineke added 11 for the Cavaliers.

Two Indians had double-doubles, with Zach Jackson scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds and Kerry Griffith adding 15 points and 12 boards. Jordan Walker had nine pionts and eight rebounds, and Donevan Waldrop contributed seven points, five boards and five assists.
