The Jasper Police Department is seeking help from the public as it investigates an ugly on-field scene following Cullman’s 13-10 comeback win over Walker Friday night at Ki-Ro Gambrell Field.
Jasper Police Chief Connie Rowe is asking that anyone with photos or video from the incident email them to ChiefRowe@jasperpd.us.
Shortly after the Bearcats rushed the field to celebrate their victory, a full-on brawl broke out. Cullman defensive coordinator Matt Hopper emerged with a torn shirt and visibly cut, bruised and bloodied face. Players from both teams were immediately ushered to their respective locker rooms. Bearcat administrators coordinated with local police to find an alternate exit from the stadium.
