The Jefferson County Coroner’s office has confirmed the death of a woman from Morris in a crash Friday afternoon.

Brandy Haynie, 36, of Morris, died shortly after her car was involved in a two-car collision on Tarrant-Huffman Road near Airport Road in the Brownsville Heights neighborhood, about a mile north of the Birmingham Shuttlesworth Airport.

The crash occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Haynie died at a hospital shortly afterward.
