Suspect arrested in Gardendale Arby’s robbery

- Spencer Powell Jr. of Birmingham is being held on charges of robbing Arby's of Gardendale in December 2012.
Gardendale Police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of a fast-food restaurant just before last Christmas.
Spencer Powell Jr., 31, of Birmingham was arrested on two counts of first-degree robbery in connection with a hold-up at Arby’s on Fieldstown Road. That robbery took place on December 23, 2012.
Powell was also charged with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Powell is being held in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of a total bond of $130,000.
