Lee as Elvis to perform at Mt. Olive center
David Lee, an Elvis entertainer, will perform at the Mt. Olive Community Center July 19 at 7:30 p.m. The center is at 2684 Mt. Olive Rd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. Blueberry pie bakeoff contest July 18
The Gardendale Farmers Market will have a blueberry pie bake-off contest July 18. The winner receives $50. Blueberries must come from Judy Bee’s Honey and Berry farm; pre-register by July 17; professional businesses may not enter. Call 631-2895 to learn more.
Musical fundraiser to benefit arts council
On Tap Sports Cafe will host a concert with the Wildwood Ruminators and other singer songwriters July 13, 6-10 p.m. for Songwriters on the Patio. Tickets are $12 at the door or $10 if ordered online at eventbrite.com. Proceeds benefit the Fultondale Arts Council.
Fultondale festival taking applications
The second annual Barking at the Moon festival is taking vendor applications for the Oct. 27 event. The cost is $15 for nonprofit organizations and $25 for vendors, plus an extra $25 for electricity. Spaces are 10×10 feet. Festival includes a dog costume contest, dog parade, dog pageant, kids costume contest and more. Proceeds benefit the Fultondale Bark Park and pet activities. Line dance workshop July 27 in Gardendale
A Gardendale Line Dance workshop will be held July 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Gardendale Civic Center. The workshop is $25 and social dance class is $10. Attend both for $35.
