Monday’s steady, sometimes heavy rain has forced nearly all local baseball and softball games to be postponed of cancelled.

The championship game of the Jefferson County Schools Baseball Tournament, originally scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m., has been postponed until Wednesday at the same starting time. The final game features Gardendale and Pinson Valley, and will be played at Birmingham-Southern College.

In softball, two games were rained out: Fultondale at Vincent and Hayden at Holly Pond.
