The Hornets shelled the Eagles early and often, scoring with a two-run double by Shelby Hancock in the first inning. They added five more in the second, helped in part by another two-run double, this one by Montanna Armstrong. She led the team with three RBIs on two hits.

The Hornets used four different pitchers for an inning each. Rhoads picked up the win as the starter, striking out the side in the first.

Every starter in the Locust Fork batting order had two hits, except for two.

The Hornets host Pinson Valley on Tuesday afternoon.
