Collett – Ponder wedding

Paige Lenette Ponder and James Allen Collett were united in marriage May 19, 2012, in a double-ring ceremony at the Hartselle Tabernacle in Hartselle, Ala., with Reverend Etsel Riddle officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Greg and Lola Ponder of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Sam and Mary Nell Johns and Riley and Odie Ponder of Vinemont. She is the great-granddaughter of Ima Jean Bellairs, Lillian Keese and Bea Ponder.
The groom is the son of John and Rita Collett of Vinemont. He is the grandson of Fronia Collett and the late Paul Collett of Berwyn, Ill., and the late Allen and Ava Linke of Vinemont, and Jack Shields of Eva.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal ivory satin gown. The fitted bodice featured a strapless sweetheart neckline adorned with the groom’s grandmother’s antique crystal brooch. The waistband was encircled with lace and Swarovski crystal beaded flowers, which flowed into a sweeping trumpet-style hemline. She wore an ivory double-tiered elbow-length veil of illusion with lace and crystal beading, held in place by a Swarovski crystal barrette. She carried a bouquet of yellow-pink roses and white hydrangea.
Gidget Turney was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shanna Young, Kari Holmes and Lisa Kirby. They wore royal blue knee-length cotton gauze dresses. They each carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and white hydrangea.
Josey Pannell and Lilly Ann Adamson, cousins of the bride, were flower girls. They wore blue and tan cotton plaid sundresses.
Jonathan Collett, brother of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Nathan Evans, John Collett, father of the groom, and Edgar Linke, uncle of the groom.
Malachi Collett, Lucas Prater and Landon Prater, nephews of the groom, were ring bearers.
Wedding music was performed by Jordon Davis, vocalist and guitarist, and the acoustic band, Round 2.
The reception was held in Hartselle Tabernacle Hall.
Following a wedding trip to New Orleans, La., the couple resides in Vinemont.
