Nyquist – Meeks wedding

Jillian Lee Meeks and James Stephen Nyquist were united in marriage March 31, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church of Paducah, Ky.., with Rev. Lynn E. Shurley, Jr. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Beverly Meeks of Paducah, Ky. She is the granddaughter of Mary Lee and the late Hershall Lee of Paducah, Ky., and the late James “Pete” and Dorothy Meeks of Paducah, Ky.
The groom is the son of Steve and Kristi Nyquist of Cullman. He is the grandson of James R. and Shelby Knight of Cullman and John and Peggy Nyquist, all of Cullman.
Wedding music was provided by the Watkins Family Quartet, organist, Elaine Shurley, and vocalists, Vic Mazzone and Amanda Maddox, friends of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal fit-and-flare gown of ivory lace and tullé with a strapless neckline. The molded lace bodice was delicately embellished with beading and smoothly transitioned above the knee to a semi-cathedral train of tullé lined with lace appliqué. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses with light coral and peach cabbage roses.
Natalie Ballert, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Betsy Cooper, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Other bridesmaids included Ceci Bassindale, Amory Cox, Jessica Eldridge, Margaret Bailey, Elizabeth Mohr, Claire Kaltenbach, Emilee Young and Katherine Nyquist.
Steve Nyquist, father of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen included John Nyquist and Cooper Nyquist, brothers of groom, Taylor Eidson, Joseph Fisher, Tyler Powell, David Haynes, Danny Charles, Blair Malench and Landen Meeks.
Cathy Elliott of Paducah, Ky., was the wedding coordinator.
The reception was held on stage at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center.
Following their honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Lexington, Ky.
