A 25-year-old Fultondale woman died from injuries sustained in a car crash on Interstate 65 on Monday.

Alabama State Troopers reported that Kristen Reynolds was killed in a crash in her 1999 Ford Escort along I-65 near Warrior sometime around 4:30 p.m. However, her body was not discovered until late that night, after family members became concerned that they had not heard from Reynolds since about 4:30 that morning.

Relatives retraced Reynolds’ route along I-65, and finally found her car down an embankment just before midnight. Reynolds was declared dead at the scene.

State troopers are still investigating the crash.

Funeral arrangements for Reynolds are incomplete.
