- Renowned folk artist She-She chats with patrons Tuesday at Art After Dark at IberiaBank in Fultondale.
A Fultondale bank was the place to be last week for lovers of art.
The Fultondale Arts Council and the Fultondale Chamber of Commerce sponsored the first Art After Dark event at IberiaBank, where five artists displayed their work and had it for sale.
At least 120 people attended the event.
“This gave people an opportunity to see artists that maybe they had not seen before,” said Kara Kennedy, chair of the Fultondale Arts Council. “We were pleased. It seems the patrons were pleased to have an event like that in Fultondale.”
Importantly, Kennedy said the artists were also pleased, and that some of their art was purchased.
Five artists were there for the event: Linda Holt, who works with recycled material; Carolyn Wass, who works with clay; Barbara Dollar, who makes jewelry; Brian Bohanan,a folk artist; and She-She, also a folk artist.
Jazz musician Keith Williams performed during the show.
