Carols Donell Johnson, 19, was arrested and charged with attempting to commit murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling or vehicle, after Gardendale Police found him in a house on Pine Street near his pickup truck, as well as the vehicle of the victims. That vehicle showed evidence of damage from multiple gunshots, according to Lt. Bryan Lynch.

Police had responded to a call at about 4 p.m. from their Fultondale counterparts about a shooting on U.S. 31 near the border between the two cities. When police arrived, the vehicles involved were already gone, but a search nearby turned up 9mm shell casings. Further investigation led police to Pine Street and the vehicles.

Johnson is jailed in lieu of $90,000 bond.
