The Morgan County Commission’s wish has been granted.
Members of the Top of Alabama Regional Council of Governments (TARCOG) board voted Tuesday to accept Morgan County’s request to join the organization.
The move comes just days after Morgan County’s membership with the North Central Alabama Region Council of Governments (NARCOG) expired.
“I have asked our legislative delegation to urge the governor to act immediately so that we can get on with the business at hand,” West Point mayor and NARCOG consultant Kenneth Kilgo said.
