Father, daughter arrested after breaking into home to make meth

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a father and daughter, after they were caught breaking into a house in the Minor community to manufacture methamphetamines.

The Sheriff’s Office says that Jeffrey Marshall, 40, and his daughter Amber, 19, both of Birmingham, were caught at about 10 p.m. Tuesday after breaking into a house in the 1000 block of Sycamore Street. Amber Marsall admitted to deptuies that they had just started to cook a batch of meth. Two other people got out of the house and fled the scene; their identities are known and deputies have warrants for their arrest.

The Marshalls are each charged with second degree burglary, manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.  They are lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $550,000 bond.
