Firehouse Subs donating to Fultondale station

On Thursday, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is donating enclosed trailers and supplies worth more than $10,000 to the Fultondale Fire Department. The donation will allow the department’s Rapid Disaster Relief Team to be better equipped when needed after a natural disaster, according to a statement from Firehouse Subs.

The foundation is also making donations this week to the Hoover Fire and Police Department SRT Tactical Medic Team and the Cahaba Valley Fire and Emergency Medical Rescue.

“We are grateful to our restaurant crews and guests for their generosity which makes these equipment donations possible,” said Robin Peters, executive director of Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

The ceremony for the Fultondale Fire Department is Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at the station located at 1220 Old Walker Chapel Rd.
