The Kimberly City Council voted to give Mayor Craig Harris extra financial leeway in repairing a guard rail on Mosley Loop Road, during Tuesday’s regular session.
The council increased the amount Harris is authorized to spend to $1,000. The guard rail has been damaged by two collisions. In other business, the council:
• Removed from the table motions to liquidate maintenance bonds on three separate subdivisions, after developer Clint Singletary promised to repair roads this spring
• Voted to purchase 100 T-shirts for firefighters
• Awarded a contract for $3,275 for repairs to the septic system at the firehouse.
