Louise Travis Whidby age 83, of Mt. Olive went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2011. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of them and herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband  of 58 years, James Owen Whidby, parents and sister, Dorothy Long.

Survivors  include her sons, James Richard Whidby (Faye) and Dennis Ray Whidby (Linda); daughter, Debra Whidby MacAllister (Johnny); eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and brothers, Bill Travis and Red Travis.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, from 10-11 a.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home, 2214 Decatur Highway. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Moncrief Cemetery.
