Helen P. McCarty, 87, of Mt. Olive, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2011. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She retired from South Central Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Rose Ann Parks, loving husband of 62 years, Jack McCarty; brother, Curtis Parks Jr. and son-in-law, Kenneth E. Vaughn, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane Vaughn, Margaret Thomas (Bill) and Jackie McCain (Berry); five grandchildren, Kenneth Vaughn, Jr. (Shannon), Bill Thomas (Sharon), Kerri Adams (Andy), Kristina McCain, Conner McCain and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011 6 – 8 p.m., rosary, at 7:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Michael Deering to officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
