Eddy Charles Tate, 61, of Clay, passed away on November 4, 2011. Eddy was a member of Clayridge Baptist Church. He was Public Works Director for the City of Mountain Brook prior to working at Jefferson County Roads and Transportation Department as Highway Maintenance Superintendent where he retired in 2002 after 34 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Tate.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Tate; two daughters, Kimberly Goodwin (Shannon) and Sheree Carlisle (Terrel); his mother, Doris Tate; his sister, Virginia Bonham (Larry); grandchildren, Chase and Ethan Goodwin, Madison, Brianna and Karissa Carlisle.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel services will be on Tuesday, November 8 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ron Hudson officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
