In the Oct. 5 Shopper, the North Jefferson News printed an article about Geocaches hidden in the north Jefferson area. The first to find the hidden items were:

• NJN1 was found by Kenneth Coutch of Locust Fork. Coutch received his first find on Nov. 20, 2005, and now has 1,762 finds. His Geocaching name is TazDevil091102.

• NJN2 was first found by Steve Dunlap of Birmingham. Steve started caching in August of 2010 and now has 220 finds.
