TP Miller’s Bar and Grill in Kimberly will host a memorial benefit concert for the family Jarrod “Stork” Stathers on Oct. 14. Stathers, a Kimberly police officer and member of the Trussville Fire Department, died recently after being in a vehicle accident; his son was also killed in the accident. The concert starts at 8 p.m. with Jeff Cook, formerly of the band Alabama.
Tickets are $15 each and are available at the door or in advance at the Kimberly Police Department, the Warrior Police Department and at T.P. Miller’s at 9370 Peterson Drive.
Patty Miller said her business is trying to help the family pay for funeral expenses. “He was a very good officer, a good person,” Miller said. “He did a lot for the community.”
