The Fultondale Arts Council is looking for artists for its October art contest. Contestants will be tasked with creating a piece inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s poem “The Raven” and Washington Irving’s short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” Submissions will be judged and chosen for exhibition and sale at the arts council’s silent auction and theme party on Oct. 27.
