Betty Faye Holland

Funeral services for Betty Faye Holland, 74, of Pekin, Ill., was held Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.

Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Holland passed away at 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill. She was born April 12, 1937, in Cullman County to Thomas A. and Connie E. Burrow Bradley. She married James Carl Holland Dec. 22, 1962, in Pekin. A homemaker, Faye had a great passion for flowers and had worked at several area florists. She was a Southern lady at heart and will be remembered for her Southern ways and cooking. She enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Wilmer Bradley.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mike (Jeannine) Holland of Douglas, Wyo., and Wayne Holland of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Connie (Tim) Winkler of Delavan, Ill., and Carrie (Gene) Foutch of Manito, Ill.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a dear cousin and friend, Jackie (Don) Logan of Blountsville.
