Betty Elizabeth Melvin, age 71, of Warrior, passed away on Aug. 18, 2011. She was survived by her sisters, Wilma Hamilton, Pearl Miller, Jeannette Looman, Bertha Daugherty; brother, David Dunnavant; daughters, Sandra (Billy) Turner, Paula (Edward) Harris, Karla (Mark) Duncan, LaWanna (Bryan) Neely; son, Stuart (Melanie) Lee; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel Aug. 20, at 2 p.m. with burial in Liberty Minter Cemetery. Bro. Jimmy Hammock and Sis. Barbara Trussle officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel.
