The Jefferson County School Board on Thursday appointed Jeff Caufield, former Bragg Middle School principal, as the new principal of Gardendale High School.

The board also appointed Neal Underwood, formerly an assistant principal at Gardendale High, as the new principal at Bragg.

Former GHS principal Dr. Anna Vacca has been transferred to a position at the board of education.
