Vivian Elaine Mabry Fassina, age 58 of Mt. Olive passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernus Astor Mabry and her sister Patricia Ann Grimmett.

Vivian was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was a very compassionate person who had a gift of gardening. She loved sharing her flowers with others as she had her dog Chloe by her side.  

Survivors include her daughter, Traci Michelle Fassina and fiancé Breck Minor; Traci’s father, Ronnie Fassina; mother, Nellie B. Mabry; sister, Bobbie M. Liptock; brother, John Curtis Mabry (Joan); sister-in-law, Helen M. Fassina and several nieces and nephews.  

Her graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in her memory.
