Westminster Assisted Living Officially Breaking Ground in Cullman

After three years of planning, Joy Deupree, PHD and Richard Norton, members of The Cullman ALF Group LLC, have officially closed on a $7.5 Million Tax Exempt Bond construction loan and plans to begin construction in July on Westminster Assisted Living, a 24 bed Assisted Living Facility (ALF) and a 16 bed Specialty Care Assisted Living Facility (SCALF), located off of Main Street at Olive Drive in Cullman.

Westminster links the charm of the past with the convenience of the present.  As the first ALF/SCALF in Alabama to offer total wireless technology, digital, high-speed Internet and flat screen TV’s in every room, Westminster wraps these modern conveniences in stately, old world architecture and finishes, harmoniously blending yesterday’s craftsmanship with today’s technology.

Assisted Living apartments will have full baths, studio kitchen, flat screen TV, screened outdoor porches and a medical alert system.  In the memory care wing of Westminster, residents with Alzheimer’s or other dementias or cognitive issues will have individual apartments and common area designed to enhance their day-to-day life with visual cues and mental activities allowing them to feel safe and comfortable, at the same time giving them a sense of independence.
