In addition to the no-smoking ordinance enacted in Monday night’s meeting, the Fultondale City Council also:

• Approved a business license for LaJays Styling and Barber in Walker Chapel Plaza;

• Authorized Mayor Jim Lowery to take bids for new fencing at Black Creek Park, and for a used truck-mounted knickle boom loader and brush body for the Street Department;

• Declared three police cars as surplus, and authorized them to be sold by online auction.

The council also voted to change the date of its next meeting from its normal fourth-Monday date to July 29 because of a schedule conflict.
