Warrior youth receives high mathematics honor

The United States Achievement Academy announced recently that Caleb Bradford Lindsey from Warrior has been recognized by the United Sattes Achievement Academy as a student of excellence in mathematics. The academy recognizes fewer than 10 percent of all American high school students.

Lindsey attends Tabernacle Christian School and was nominated for the award by Mark Bell, a teacher at the school. Lindsey will appear in the United States Achievement Academy’s official year book, which is published nationally.

The academy recognizes students upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors and upon the standards for selection set forth by the academy. The standards for selection include academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, attitude and cooperative spirite, dependability and recommendation from a qualified sponsor.

Lindsey is the son of Brad and Marcie Lindsey of Warrior. The grandparents are Jim and Jan Helms of Empire and Ray and Janice Lindsey of Hueytown.
