Willard Parks Griffith passed away on June 5, 2011, at the age of 88.

He is survived by his wife Polly Griffith; daughters Sue Hamer, Jean Lucas, Joan Pell and Jan Griffith; brother William Clinton Griffith (Susan); grandchildren Shannon Hamer Hellen (Stephen), Sarah Anderson, Elizabeth Thornton, Cathryn Thornton, Melissa Thornton, Amy Griffith and Eric Griffith; great-grandchildren Mathew Hellen and Christopher Hellen.

He was preceded in death by his son Robert Allen Griffith and sister Joan Maddox.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 2 until 4 pm.
