A Gardendale man was killed on Saturday after being ejected from his vehicle in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Department of Public Safety.

William David Parker, 19, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on Woodrose Drive, six miles north of Brookwood, when the truck left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Parker was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected and killed. State troopers said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Parker was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
