Gardendale Fire and Rescue personnel will host a car seat inspection day at Kmart in Gardendale on Wednesday, 1:30-3:30 p.m. The event is free and everyone who uses car seats is invited to have the seats inspected.

In addition, the fire department has chosen a logo for this year’s “Gardendale Cares Enough to Wear Pink” campaign, which is a fundraiser for breast cancer research. The shirts will go on sale in late summer or early fall.
