A group of supercell thunderstorms that has produced a large tornado with major damage in Tuscaloosa is entering Jeferson County from the southwest.

The National Weather Service  issued a tornado warning foe southwest Jefferson County until 4:45 pm., but canceled it at 4:25 after the storm weakened. However, more storms are moving into Alabama from Mississippi, so severe weather and possible tornadoes may still occur later today.
