Everyone in the world with a view of the sky (including, of course, north Jefferson County) saw a rare perigee-syzygy moon on March 19. Also known as a supermoon, the perigee-syzygy occurs when the moon is full during its closest distance from the earth in its orbit; in short, it makes a great photo. We decided to step back and allow some real shutterbugs to show us their pictures.
