- Jeanene Salze, of We’re N Stitches, cracks a smile as she mans her collection of monogrammed clothing, gifts and accessories at the North Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Show last year. Salze won the Fall 2010 Booth Presentation Contest.
The North Arts Council’s annual Spring Arts and Crafts Show will be on March 25, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and March 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Gardendale Civic Center.

There will be over 60 vendors selling a variety of arts and crafts, including baked goods, hand-sewn items, kids’ clothes, honey, homemade brooms, plants, wreaths and much more. In addition, there will be entertainment by local church choirs, piano students and others. A portion of the proceeds will go to Happy Feet Ministries.
Each visitor to the festival can receive a “mystery prize egg,” which includes scores of discounts from businesses and vendors, including tickets to IMAX shows and the McWayne Center in Birmingham. To get an egg, visitors must present a ticket from craft show ads and fliers inserted into the North Jefferson News. There will be other door prizes as well.
Children will also be able to take Easter Bunny photos; photos are $10 each.
