Kimberly buys patrol cars

The Kimberly Town Council voted to purchase two patrol cars for the town’s police department. The council will discuss financing the cars at a special meeting on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Bunko set for Feb. 19

The Aegis Club of Gardendale is hosting “Bunko Around the Clock” on Feb. 19 at the Gardendale Civic Center. There is also a silent auction. Those who bid on items should have cash. Aegis members are selling raffle tickets for $1 each for door prizes. Bunko tickets are $35 each, admit two people and include bunko and dinner. The door opens at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. and bunko starts at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets from any Aegis member, Iberia Bank, In Full Bloom or Merle Norman.

North Jefferson VFW changes meeting dates

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 10250, which meets in Fultondale has changed its meeting dates to the fourth Sunday at 2 p.m., effective in February. The post was formerly meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Meetings are held at 1425 Stouts Road.
