Weather permitting, on Friday at 9:30 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin inspection of the bridges on I-65 northbound and southbound, over Locust Fork of the Warrior River, located near milepost 278.69. 

After completing the inspection of the northbound bridge, the inspection will continue on the southbound bridge. These inspections will require the outside (right) lane and shoulder to be closed in the area of the inspection.

All roadway travel lanes will be re-opened to traffic by 2 p.m.

Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this maintenance operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
